Karson stares at the man with rage...

Karson [upset]:I dont care if these pokemon are wild or not they live in peace with the people here and are friends of the citizens...but if you want to battle, then your on!!!

Karson [mad]:Lets go Magby, Snorunt lets show this punk its not right to steal pokemon!!!

Karson throws two pokeball high in the air causing both to flash bright red and with the dimming lights appear Magby and Snorunt with looks of anger.

Karson [pumped up]:Lets go!!!

Aster gave a small smirk as he tossed his hair. "Those won't stand a second against my Pokemon. Scizor, use Fury Cutter! Butterfree use Confusion!" The man stepped back and let the red bug Pokemon rush forward and make a swipe at the Magby. As he did that, Butterfree began to glow and stare at Snowrunt, attempting to make it confused as an aura began to surround and bind it.

Karson sees the Scizor rushing at his Magby at full speed ready to strike.

Karson [Pumped]:Its fast!Magby counter with a full power ember.

Just as the Scizor gets close Magby unleashes a furious Ember on it.Karson now realizing whats happening to Snorunt acts fast.

Karson [Worried]:Snorunt quick use Double Team then Icy Wind!

All of a sudden copies of Snorunt start appearing everywhere and at the same time a ice cold breeze is coming from every single one heading for Butterfree.

Aster scowls as Scizor gets badly burnt by the other's Magby. Returning it to his Pokeball he focuses his attention on using Butterfree to attack both. Using it's Compoundeyes, it easily finds the original Snowrunt and uses Confusion to send it flying into Magby before flying higher to avoid the snow.

Tiffany cheers," You can do it Karson!"

[Butterfree available for defeat.]

Karson sees with shock as Snorunt slams into Magby causing them both to fall down in pain.

Karson [Worried]:Come on guys we've got to beat this guy to save the girafarig.Magby use ember! and Snorunt go in with another double team followed by Icy Wind.

Magby charges in jumps up and launches a scorching ember.While at the same time Snorunt uses DoubleTeam confusing the Butterfree and out of nowhere the copy of Snorunt behind ButterFree launches a strong IcyWind.As ember and IcyWind clash from both sides ButterFree is blasted back to its trainer's feet looking to weak to even standup.

Karson [excited]:Thats the way to do it guys great job!

Aster scowled and returned is Pokemon to it's ball. "You got...you got lucky. I'll release the precious Girafarig. If they've been domesticated by the cityfolk we don't them anyway." Sneering he unlocked the latch then pulled out a Smokeball and disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

"That jerk! He's going to get away....let's go see how Charlie is doing," Tiffany said as a Girafarig came up and licked Karson's cheek. "Or I can leave you with your new lover."
Laughing she walked around to the front of the stage.

"Ex..excuse me. These were bad people stealing our Pokemon. If you see them again please report them to the local authorities." Charlie stood on the stage holding his Slowpoke tightly against his chest. He was obviously nervous in front of a crowd. As the cityfolk dispersed Charlie came down to greet them. "Ah...um...thank you so much...it seems the Girafarig are returning to the city...As umm...Gym Leader here, I thank you on behalf of the City of Silentstar.

Karson [Happy]:We were glad to help I would never think of letting someone evil like that man get away with hurting innocent pokemon.

As Karson finished speaking he looked at the Girafarig passing by.

Karson [Calm]:By the way I dont think I properly introduced myself Im Karson.

"And I'm Tiffany," the girl chimed in not wanting to be left out of the conversation.

"Ah yes well. Thank you very much. It was a lot of help, Right gong?"The Slowpoke gave out a yawn and wiggled it's tail a bit in approval. "Are you two here to...to umm battle me for a badge too?" The boy blushed and hugged onto Gong tightly."

"Oh. I don't think battling is for me. I'm going to be a Coordinator," Tiffany smiled as she looked over to Karson. "What about you? Are you going to challenge him?"

Karson [Pumped]:You bet Tiffany ugh if thats ok with you Charlie.You see Im on my way to become a Pokemon Master and with my Magby and Snorunt I know I can.So if it is no trouble at all I would really appreciate it if you would battle me.

Tiffany smiled at the two and waved at them. "Well. I'm going to head home. I need to tell my mom I'm going on a Journey, I'll tell your mom too Karson." Waving, the girl went down Route 751 and went out of site.

"Well umm...if you'll follow me then...." Charlie began to walk through the middle of the town and led Karson over the bridge that lead to gym. Sliding open a paper door, he made his way to a small platform and waited for the other to take his place. "Alright...I ...I hope you have come well prepared..." The boy's eyes once more turned from their bright blue to a ruby red. "Cheroo, come forward." A small Natu appeared on his side of the gym and waited for its orders. "I have been given the gift to communicate with Pokemon telepathically...thus Psychic Pokemon flock to me. Once again thank you for your help, but I cannot let my gratit..gratitude interfere with my duties here.

Karson [Happy]:I wouldnt have it any other way.It wouldnt be any fun if something like gratitude got in the way of a battle.

Karson smiles and thinks about what Charlie said about having the gift to speak to pokemon telepathically.

Karson [Thinking]:With an ability like that this guy wont be easy if Im not careful Ill never get a badge from here...

Karson pulls out a pokeball hits a button making it bigger and throws it in the air.

Karson [Pumped]:Lets go Snorunt your up!

A bright red light flashes from Snorunts pokeball causing Snorunt to appear at Karsons feet.

Karson [Calm]:Alright its go time.

Nodding at the tiny bird Pokemon, Charlie pointed forward, "Alright. Cheroo, use Psychic on his Snowrunt!" Giving out a small battle cry, the Pokemon's eyes began to glow and easily tossed the Snowrunt against the back wall of the gym. After doing so it began to happily chirp and look back at Charlie, not paying attention to whether or not the attack was successful.. "No no. Natu, it's not over yet. Please pay attention"

Karson, seeing his Snorunt get slammed into the wall cant help but think of natu's power.

Karson [Pumped]:Come on Snorunt I know you can win this use Powder Snow followed by Bite!!!

Snorunt, after getting back on its feet starts dancin around at the same time a cold breeze consumes the gym causing a small snowstorm to form.As the Powder Snow blocks all visibility Snorunt comes charging in out of nowhere ready to take a giant bite out of Natu.

Caught of guard the Pokemon was buffeted by snow, causing it to shiver and feel greatly weakened from ice attack. Staggering it turned around only to be bitten by the snow runt. "Oh no....Natu...," Charlie said as the Pokemon gave a tiny cry before fainting. Upset, Charlie withdrew a Pokeball from his pocket and returned Natu. "Umm umm...Wisher, come out!"

Hearing Charlie's words, a Starmie popped out of a Pokeball in the boy's Pocket and began to spin around the room until it was in front of the Snorunt. "Quickly use umm water gun!" It gave a little "sha sha" in agreement and shot a beam of water at the Snorunt, knocking it back.

Karson [Shocked]:No Snorunt!!

Forced to watch Snorunt slam into the ground about to fall unconcious Karson does everything he can to think of a plan.

Karson [Pumped]:Alright Snorunt this Starmie has power so lets see if we can outsmart it!Use DoubleTeam and then IcyWind.

Snorunt manages to pull of a DoubleTeam Causing copies of itself to appear around Starmie.Once the copies were made Snorunt then released a snowy wind from its mouth making it almost impossible to see the Snorunt let alone multiple ones.

Karson [Excited]:Alright Snorunt use Bite once more!

Nothing could be seen except the snow and multiple sillhouettes charging in after Starmie.

Charlie frowned as Wisher was bitten by all the Snorunts. "Umm umm....Rapid Spin!" Suddenly, all the Snorunts began to fly off of the Staryu, blowing the flurry of snow away. Once the clones had dispersed and he snow cleared, Wisher was suspended in a circle of Ice, resembling a pentacle, that slowly turned as it began to slow. "Ah oh no..Wisher...." sighing he withdrew the Pokemon and sent out a Girafarig. "Geoffry will be more of a challenge....I hope..."

[Snorunt faints]

Karson [Excited]:Yes we did it Snorunt.

Karson looks at Snorunt and realizes that its dizzy from being spun off Starmie and then falls down unconcious.

Karson [Freaked]:Ah Snorunt!Oh well return.Ok Magby its your turn lets do this!

Karson throws Magby's pokeball releasing him from it.

Karson [Excited]:Alright Magby lets finish this as fast as possible use Smog followed by Ember.

Magby releases a poisonous gas from its mouth cloaking the Girafarig in it.Suddenly Magby starts shooting sparks of fire at the Smog hoping it will cause an explosion.

"Ah Geoffry. Use stomp," Charlie said trying to see through the smoke. The Girafarig did as it was told only to miss the Magby and get hit by the ember. Wincing in pain it staggered back then used Psybeam to blast Magby against the wall.

After Magby is blasted into the wall it manages to stand up but with bad injuries.

Karson [Shocked]:Come on Magby I know you can win now jump up in the air above Geoffry and use Ember!

Magby then starts running and jumps high in the air above Geoffry and blows a powerful Ember at it and covered the area in a blaze.

Karson [Excited]:Yeah now use Headbutt!

Suddenly in the fire a sillhouette appears to be charging towards Geoffry in the flame.

Geoffry, too weak to move was buffeted by the flame then knocked back by the Pokemon's headbutt. Sighing Charlie withdrew Geoffry and held the Pokeball tightly. "I know it hurts, I'll get you to the Pokemon Center as soon as I can...Gong...you're up." The Slowpoke slid out of Charlie's grasp and waddled it's way to the field. "Finish him p with Surf Gong," Charlie said as he clenched the center of his shirt. The pink pokemon stared blankly at the Magby, yawned then looked back at Charlie and said it's name slowly.
"I know it's injured a lot...I know he helped us but ...but the townspeople wanted us to uphold the gym......you're right."
Sighing, the Gong crawled back to Charlie and let the boy pick him up. "I, Ch..charlie of the Silentstar Gym, award you the Fortune Badge for your skill in battle and your service to the community....I think...that's all I have to say....oh yeah, I have to give you the badge too."
Turning around, the boy knocked on a space in the wall to have a secret drawer slide out. Picking up one of the yellow star shaped badges, he walked over to Karson and placed it in the other's hand. "Umm....thank you again...for your help," he said shyly looking more towards Magby then Karson. As he bowed, his eyes faded back into their original crystal blue color.

Karson confused thinking he would have to battle Gong took the badge.

Karson [Happy]:Hey no prob I was happy to help and thankyou for the badge.Look Magby we got the Fortune Badge!

Magby filled with excitement jumps up into Karsons arms and accidently releases an ember.

Karson [Excited]:*coughs*Apprently Magby is as happy as I am.Well how about we get you and Snorunt a nice rest at the Pokemon Center?

Before Magby has a chance to answer he returns it to its pokeball, thanks Charlie for the gym battle once more and dashes off to the Pokemon Center.
