| Gong Charlie has had Gong since he was four. Over the years they have picked up on each other's habits, often doing everything from sleeping to showering together. Gong's blank mind often gives Charlie a load of trouble, often causing the Pokemon to eat things it shouldn't. Cheroo During a tour of Johto, he stumbled across the Pokemon as a Natu. It was lost and separated from its mother from a storm. After weeks of searching, Charlie asked the Pokemon if it would like to stay with him, and maybe one day they'd stumble across its mother. The Pokemon agreed and followed Charlie back to Kanto. From then on Charlie made sure the Natu was well cared for, along with Gong. Geoffry Geoffry was found when Charlie moved to the Kiboun Reigon. People were amazed to find that the Pokemon was able to talk to communicate with Charlie. Amazed at hia abilities, they established him as a gym leader, without even testing his knowledge of battle. Unable to let the people down, Charlie decided he would stay on as the gym leader. Wisher While vacationing in Olivine City, Charlie made a wish on a shooting star. Following the star as it fell, it put a hurt Staryu in his peripheral vision. Drawn to the flashing red light, he went to investigate and found the poor Pokemon severely injured. Taking to a Pokecenter, Charlie talked to it, trying to make it feel better and then told the doctor exactly what was wrong with it. After receiving it back and taking it home, he realized that he was able to communicate with it, and for that matter , other Pokemon as well. At this realization, the Wisher evolved. | |
